GAZO : APOCALYPSE -

PROJECT : Apocalypse
ROLE : 3D Artist/Motion Designer/Web Designer
YEAR : 2024
CLIENT : Gazo

For the release of Apocalypse, I worked across multiple aspects of the project's digital ecosystem, helping translate the collector experience into an engaging online storefront.

Using production files and reference materials, I rebuilt the collector box in 3D before developing a series of interactive product presentations and custom web assets designed to showcase the collection. From animated product pages to immersive merchandising displays, each element was created to reinforce the premium positioning of the release.

My role combined 3D production, web design and integration, with the objective of transforming a traditional e-commerce experience into a visually impactful destination for fans discovering the project.

The Collector Box - 3D

Modeled in Cinema4D, Rendered with Octane

Using production templates and reference photography, I rebuilt the Apocalypse collector box in Cinema 4D to create a digital version of the product for the album's online campaign.

I was responsible for the 3D modeling and animation of the collector edition, recreating its distinctive stone-carved lid and preparing the asset for use across multiple digital touchpoints. The final texturing and material work was carried out by Fifou and Le Salon Studio, whose expertise contributed to the realism and premium feel of the finished piece.

The resulting asset was later integrated throughout the project's digital ecosystem, from product showcases to animated merchandising experiences.

Interactive Product Experience

A key aspect of the project involved designing interactive product pages that could properly showcase the collector edition and accompanying merchandise.

Custom animated assets were created for several products, including rotating 3D presentations of the collector box, animated CD displays and interactive vinyl visuals. These elements transformed traditional product listings into immersive showcases, allowing visitors to explore the collection in a more dynamic and memorable way.

By combining motion design with product presentation, the experience helped elevate the perceived value of the collection while supporting the overall visual identity of the release.

The storefront was conceived as more than a sales platform—it was designed as an extension of the Apocalypse universe.

Working across design and integration, I developed a digital experience that combined immersive visuals, animated product showcases and custom merchandising layouts to support the album's release. The challenge was to create a sense of scale and excitement worthy of a highly anticipated launch while preserving the clarity and functionality required from an e-commerce platform.

By carefully balancing storytelling, product visibility and technical performance, the website transformed the collection into an experience rather than a simple catalog of products.

Creating the WOW Factor

One of the project's primary challenges was meeting the expectations surrounding a major release while delivering an experience capable of generating excitement from the very first interaction.

With a highly anticipated launch and a large product offering, the objective was not only to present the collection effectively but also to create a memorable moment for fans discovering the project. Every animation, product showcase and visual detail was designed to contribute to that sense of anticipation and elevate the overall perception of the release.

At the same time, the experience needed to remain intuitive, performant and commercially effective. Balancing visual impact with usability became a key part of the design process, ensuring that the storefront could deliver both the emotional response and practical functionality expected from a large-scale direct-to-consumer campaign.
